Palexco will celebrate next November 4, starting at 8:30 p.m., the first edition of the Solidarity Window gala dinner for the benefit of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, whose profits from the event will go to the construction of decent homes for vulnerable families who They do not have a house that offers the adequate conditions of habitability and hygiene.
Given the need that many families in India suffer from not having access to solid and safe housing, which has repercussions on their vulnerability and health, having a house in hygienic and safe conditions is an essential requirement to achieve the integration of families within the community.
Empowering women by registering the houses in their name to achieve the dignity and respect of women, is another of the objectives of said construction.
About the Gala
Renowned chefs will be in charge of the charitable initiative in a charitable and altruistic manner, since 100% of the proceeds will be destined for the construction of houses in the village of Anantapur (India).
They will be Luis Veira (Árbore da Veira); Xoán Crujeiras (Bido); Javier Rodríguez Ponte “Taki” (Boketé), Moncho Méndez (Millo); Pablo Pizarro (The Traveling Empanada) and the chefs Beatriz Sotelo and Pepe Solla are in charge of putting the gastronomic note to the solidarity evening.
Social partcipation
Solidarity Window is an event in which, in addition to prestigious establishments and chefs, numerous companies from the city have already joined with direct contributions to the project.
This initiative arises from the collaboration between Palexco and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation – which has just opened a delegation in Galicia – due to the need that many families in India suffer as they do not have access to decent housing.
During the dinner there will be a great raffle of gifts in which numerous shops, restaurants, hotels and city brands have also participated. All with the common goal of putting their grain of sand in this great solidarity initiative.
In addition, the gala will be enlivened with live music groups.
