In this way, the Palacio de la Ópera reaffirms its commitment to health and continues to readjust itself to maintain the safe culture seal and so that the city of A Coruña can recover, with guarantees, its cultural activity.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Palacio de la Ópera manager has implemented measures to help and support a safe and responsible culture so that events can be held at the facilities with all the security guarantees. In fact, the Palacio de la Ópera has a very demanding contingency plan that covers all the aspects referred to in the hygienic-sanitary regulations for the prevention of COVID-19.

Contract renewal

The Palacio de la Ópera is waiting to be able to renew the contract with the Consortium for the Promotion of Music so that the Galician Symphony Orchestra can resume its normal activity. On December 31, the contrary won and from that date a new negotiation has begun, from which it is expected to reach an agreement that will benefit both parties. At this moment, from the Palacio de la Ópera they are waiting for the Consortium for the Promotion of Music to respond to the proposal that was sent to it at the end of last year. While this contractual situation is resolved, the Palacio de la Ópera has made all its technical staff available to the workers of the Symphonic Orchestra so that they can access the Palace to collect their belongings with all the facilities.

From the management company they hope to reach an agreement in favor of a safe culture, so necessary in times like today.

New normal

The Palace hopes to be able to resume its activity coinciding with the summer season, for which it has already closed numerous contracts with local and national promoters. In the coming weeks, and hoping that the pandemic situation improves, the offer of shows and concerts will be presented with which, without a doubt, the commitment to art and culture of the Palacio de la Ópera will be valued once again.
